Today we recognize Dorothy Lutz -one of the earliest and youngest female welders in Canada, having started as a 16-year-old electrical welder in the Halifax Shipyards in 1943 during the Second World War. Thousands of women became welders, mechanics, and technicians during World War II, stepping into roles traditionally held by men.

This tee was designed for the Rosie Riveters of the world.
